Shit... Wranglers aren't designed to over bumps like that at that rate of speed?

Right, not a pre-runner, especially on stock suspension.

I had that exact same problem on my land cruiser 80 series...oh wait...no I didn't. on a related note, my roof doesn't leak and my body is cooled or heated as needed by my hvac system.

Did I see the airbag go off?

I think it did go off. Good eye!

There are three removable panels on the roof. I think it is the sky reflecting off one of the front panels as they fell into the vehicle. It does look like an airbag at first glance though.

New Jeep Wrangler, from hardtop to open canopy in less than 5 seconds*
*not actually claimed by manufacture.

Wow, I've watched that about 20 times now. The airbag goes off whilst the front is going up, not down. I think the Jeep freaked out when the hardtop was removed.
FYI there are bolts holding that down. I think he forgot to put them back in.

I think you're right. He forgot the bolts.
